So, my kid's already annoyed we got rid of Christmas. She'd probably be annoyed about losing Easter, too, except for the fact that her preschool has got enough Easter going on she hasn't missed it at home (of course, she was handing around play-doh matzoh today, so there's hope).
Inspired by a sighting of Peep frogs, it occurred to me that perhaps we could do Plague baskets next year, because it's really just the candy she's interested in.
This is what I came up with - though most of it isn't Kosher for Passover (nothing like Passover to make you aware of how much corn syrup there is around), and some of it is just straight-up treyf:
Plagues 1, 2 and 3: Water to Blood, Frogs, Lice
Plagues 4, 5 and 6: Flies, Diseased Livestock, Boils (Red Cherry Sours)
Plagues 7, 8 and 9: Hail, Locusts, Darkness
And the biggie...
Plague 10, Death of the First Born: It's a (marzipan) boy!
